I Would Have Never Of Thought To Add This To My Pasta Sauce… But I am sure Glad I Did ~ Damn What A Difference!
Can You Believe How Easy This Pasta Sauce Was To Make. And All Of The Ingredients Were Super Fresh!
I admit, I usually purchase a jar of pasta sauce whenever I am making something that calls for pasta sauce. And usually, I try and doctor it up to hide the taste that's always lingering in a preservative packed jar. I can't quite explain that flavor, but somehow everyone can always identify when it's store bought. Then I cam across this recipe and I was blown away by how easy pasta sauce can be to make, with the right ingredients. After making this sauce, you seriously will never want to buy sauce in a jar again. Half the time is spent trying to hide that fact anyways. Instead, redirect your efforts from the very beginning and be delighted with your finished product.
There is nothing crazy that you need to know to execute this recipe. The skills needed a pretty basic. So what are you waiting you?! Who knows, you might even be inspired to start making pasta from scratch. But hey, one step at a time right?

A teaspoon of baking soda per gallon of sauce will cut the acid, sugar only sweetens it.

I have never used store bought. I have used the same recipe since I was 16 years old. I got it from Larry Little when he ran the Georgetown Cafe.

Probably the Merlot wine
Parm Orvis I have used Red wine to my sauce for years.

Shredded Carrots, and a little sugar
looks great/
Cumin,b sugar,lemon pepper
Always make my own spaghetti sauce, chili, etc. My grandmother and mother taught me to add a pinch of sugar to any recipe with tomatoes to cut the acid taste. A small amount does’t make the sauce sweet.
wow I hope we can eat with bread?
My wife’s secret ingredient was grape jelly. It was incredible!
Please share that recipe…
I don’t think I wanna waste my merlot wine to put in spaghetti sauce. I like to drink it instead.

Great tip!
I use about three times as much sweet basil and a pinch of sugar. So good!

I hate posts like these, that tease you with something extraordinary…no secret ingredients there, looks like my pasta sauce recipe!
Me too! And a pinch of nutmeg!
Do both
Key to not have acid is remove the seeds of the tomato.
No salt?? People salt is flavor!

I was thinking the chicken granules. I’ve never used that in pasta sauce.

My mother-in-law grated up a carrot in hers. It was good.

Jason
