Cheesy Pull Apart Bacon Loaf

Cheesy Pull Apart Bacon Loaf

The first time that I made this was the day I received the recipe via email. I made it that night without telling my family I was trying out a new recipe. I have found that there are times when I say im trying out a new recipe that they scrunch up their nose at the thought that not only will I force them all to try it but I will question them about everything from texture to taste.

This time I was smart. I made it, set it out on the counter and waited to see what happened. Sure enough, within 5 minutes of putting it out, they started circling around the kitchen asking what I was doing. It's so nice that they're so concerned when there is food present.

The best part of this dish is how simple it was to prepare. Seriously I am all about simplicity. So check out these simple step by step instructions.

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350F with a rack in lower middle position. Grease a 9×13 glass or ceramic baking pan and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper to combine well. Set aside.

Open can of biscuits, separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Place biscuit quarters into a bowl of egg mixture and toss to coat well. Transfer into prepared baking dish, evenly in a single layer. Top with cheese, bell peppers, and bacon. Bake 25-35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden (tent loosely with foil during last 10 minutes of baking, if cheese starts browning too quickly.)

Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

I know that my family ate this up and asked for more. I told them I would love to make them some more however they would have to answer some questions first.  Mom always wins.
