When making these Cheeto Deep Fried Pickles the hardest part is not eating all of the Cheetos before you start! If you have kids around this makes it about a thousand times more difficult to accomplish so if you do not have a large bag of chips I suggest having an extra just in case.
I ended up making two batches per my teenagers request. She likes things a little on the spicy side so I made one regular and the other with the Flaming Hot Cheetos and they both came out quite tasty and those who like things a little hotter were appeased!
Directions:
Preheat canola oil in a large pot or deep fryer until it reaches 375 degrees.
To make the ranch dip, stir together the ingredients in a medium bowl, then chill for 30 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the Cheeto crumbs, flour, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
Pat the sliced pickles dry very well so there is very little moisture left, if any. Toss the pickles in the flour mixture to coat, then fry in the hot oil until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from the oil to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any extra grease.
Serve immediately with dipping sauce. Enjoy!
See, easy peasy. Let me know if you decide to try them and how they turn out. I would love to hear about what other chips you have experimented with.
