Let's Get Started Making This Fantastic Pasta Dish…
The Ingredients To Gather:
- 12 oz. Fettuccine, uncooked
- 1 pound fresh baby carrots
- 1 10-oz. bag frozen pearl onions
- 1 pound beef tenderloin tips or steaks, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 10 1/2-oz. can double-strength beef broth, undiluted
- 1/3 cup dry red wine such as cabernet sauvignon
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- Chopped fresh thyme or Italian parsley (optional)
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
- Cook the paste the way the package says. Then add the carrots during the last 5 minutes of cook time.
- While that's going, thaw onions in the microwave on high for about 2 minutes or in a bowl of cool water then drain. Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a bag.
- Add half of the beef.
- Shake to coat.
- Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large, deep nonstick pan over med/high heat.
- Add the floured beef. Brown the beef quickly, turning only once, for about 2 minutes.
- Put on a plate and set to the side. Melt the rest of the butter in a pan and repeat the browning process with the rest of the beef. reserving any flour mix in the bag.
- Put the beef on the same plate.
- Add the garlic to the dripping in the pan.
- Cook about 2 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add any flour that is left, and mix well.
- Next add the beef broth, thawed onions, thyme and wine to the pan and bring to a boil.
- Stir in beef and simmer uncovered for about 4 minutes or til beef is pink the center and the sauce as slightly thickened.
- Drain the pasta and carrots and arrange in shallow soup bowls.
- Toss the pasta with the beef mix, top with fresh thyme and/or parsley if desired!

There you have it! Add a salad and a dinner roll and you are set to eat a great tasting meal! Eat up and do nothing more than enjoy!
