Copycat Recipe Of Church’s Famous Honey Butter Biscuits Tastes Even Better Than The Original!

You won't want to pass  up these biscuits. They only takes a few minutes to prepare the dough. Then they take about ten to fifteen minutes to bake. You won't have to wait long at all to get that first incredible taste!

The Ingredients To Gather Are:

 

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2/3 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup honey

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Place flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cream of tarter in  bowl. Work in  shortening until  mixture feels like cornmeal. Pour milk into flour, mix well. Knead about 12 – 15 times.

Break dough into  1/4 -1/3 cup size balls. Roll dough into balls, pat to 1/2″ thickness. Brush with melted butter, place on  baking sheet.

Place biscuits into  450 degrees F preheated oven, bake 10 – 12 minutes.

The Additional Directions To Follow:

During the time that your biscuits are baking,  pour your  honey into  the leftover butter and allow it to come to a boil. Then take your honey butter off the heat. As soon as your biscuits have finished baking, take a baking brush and add some of your honey butter to each biscuit.
