First, we start out by making the pumpkin spice syrup!
Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 cups water
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan set over low heat; whisk together until smooth. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, cool, and strain into a bottle.
*This renders about 1 cup of syrup so read through the entire process and then adjust the recipe accordingly if you are looking to make enough in advance.
Now we are going to make the Vanilla Bean Syrup you will also need.
