Craving A Big Mac Burger? Make It At Home With This Easy To Follow Copy-Cat Recipe!

Here's everything for this copycat Big Mac recipe. This recipe requires 20 minutes of active prep time and 1 hr. of inactive prep time and makes four burgers.

Let's Get Started…

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/3 cup sweet pickle relish

  • 2 tsp. yellow mustard

  • 3/4 tsp. white vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder

  • 14 oz. ground beef (20 percent fat)

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • 4 sesame seed hamburger buns and 4 heels

  • 8 tsp. finely minced white onion

  • 2 cups coarsely chopped iceberg lettuce

  • 4 slices American cheese

  • 8 to 12 dill pickle hamburger slices

Directions To Follow:

Start by combining the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and then cover and chill. Measure out 1 3/4-ounce portions of the beef using a kitchen scale, and shape it into balls slightly large than the size of golf balls. Place each ball flat on top of a 12-ounce can (such as a can of tuna) or any other can with a 4-inch diameter. To peel the patties away from the can, just turn the can over and then place the patties on a sheet pan lined with wax paper. Cover and freeze for 1 hour.
Next, pre-heat a griddle or a large skillet over medium/low heat. Now, make the center buns by slicing a layer off of the heels, and then lightly brown all of the buns on both sides in the skillet or griddle. After the buns are browned, cook the patties for between 2 and 3 minutes on each side. Sprinkle a little bit of salt and pepper on the patties as they cook. While the beef is cooking, put together sandwiches. To do this, spread a couple of teaspoons of sauce on the face of the bottom bun and on one side of the club bun. Next, sprinkle about a teaspoon of onion on top of of the sauce on both of the buns, and then place about 1/4-cup of chopped lettuce on top of that. Then, lay a slice of American cheese on the lettuce of the bottom bun, followed by two to three pickles on top of the lettuce. Now, place a beef patty on top of the cheese and one on top of the pickles. Place the club bun on top of the bottom bun, and then put the crown on top. Microwave on high for 15 seconds to warm the buns and make them softer.

Finished!

That certainly sounds like one hearty sandwich and we're drooling just thinking about how delicious these burgers are. The only thing that would make them better is to pair them with a generous order of savory french fries.

Enjoy!
