Dilled Pot Roast With Mushroom Sauce

Dilled Pot Roast With Mushroom Sauce

What makes the crockpot so great is the simplicity of the ingredients. When I read the ingredient list on this one all I needed from the store was the roast.

It doesn’t get easier than that!

What to buy from the store

  • 5 to 3 Pounds top round beef roast
  • 1 Teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoons pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 2 tsp dried dill)
  • 1 onion, cut into 4 thick slices
  • 4 ribs celery, cut into chunks
  • 1/4 Cups red vinegar
  • 1/4 Cups water
  • 1 Pounds mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Cups light sour creamThe Directions To Follow
  1. In a small bowl combine salt and pepper with the fresh dill and rub all over the meat.
  2. Line the bottom of your crockpot with the crunchy vegetables, onions and celery and cover with water and vinegar
  3. Place meat on top and cook on the low setting, whatever that is on your crockpot, probably between eight and ten hours.
  4. Right before you are ready to serve cook the mushrooms seasoned with salt and pepper in a little bit of oil in a pan on the stove top when soft stir in sour cream and pour over your sliced cooked roast.

We made the best sandwiches with the leftover meat from this roast! Sliced nice and thin on a thick piece of bread we got two great meals from this great recipe.
