Ditch That Boxed Recipe & Make These Fluffy, Light Buttermilk Pancakes Instead; They Taste A Heck Of A Lot Better!

These wonderful homemade pancakes make enough for about twelve servings so there should be plenty to enjoy. They take about five minutes to make so you won't have to wait long at all for this truly incredible homemade breakfast.

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 cups  flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • Clarified butter or high-heat vegetable oil, for cooking

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  2. Whisk eggs. Whisk in buttermilk,  melted butter.
  3. Stir flour mixture into buttermilk mixture until just combined.
  4. Heat the oven to 200°F,  place an oven-safe plate or baking dish inside.
  5. Heat skillet on stove top over medium heat. Melt 1/4 teaspoon of butter on skillet.
  6. Dollop 1/2 cup batter onto skillet. Cook pancakes about 2 minutes.
  7. Flip pancakes, cook another 2 minutes.
  8. Transfer  pancakes to plate in  oven.
  9. Cover with foil.
  10. Repeat with more butter and remaining batter, until all pancakes are cooked.
