Do You Like Fall-Off-The Bone Spare Ribs With Great Flavor & Without The Hassle Of Working Over A Hot Grill?

This spare rib recipe makes enough for about six to eight servings but you can always double it if you need a large amount for a party. The ribs are cooked twice so you can roast them the day before if you need to save time. They take about two hours and ten minutes to prepare but they are so good you won't even remember all the work it took to make them!

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 3-pound rack spareribs
  • 4 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup brandy
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon five-spice powder
  • ½ teaspoon ginger

Directions To Gather:

  1. Place ribs in plastic bag. Whisk together the remaining ingredients until sandy sauce forms. Pour half of sauce into bag with ribs, massaging sauce onto ribs. Set aside remaining marinade, refrigerate ribs overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 300°. Line baking sheet with tinfoil. Place ribs on rack, transfer to oven. Cook, basting with marinade every 30 minutes, 2 to 2½ hours. Remove from oven,set oven to broil.

  3. Transfer rack to cutting board, separate ribs. Line on baking sheet rack roasted on, baste with marinade. Broil, flipping once, until marinade caramelizes, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
