This crock pot roast recipe is not only the easiest one you will find but it is also the most delicious one I have ever tasted. Plus I love how you can vary the dry packaged ingredients by trying Au Jus instead of brown gravy or even skip the Italian mix all together if you like things a little less spicy.
It's easy because all the seasoning you need can be bought in those simple dry packaged seasoning mixes.
This delicious roast takes probably 3 minutes of preparation – which I really like!
Anyway, on to the recipe…

My husband said the best roast ever.
Sounds too salty!
How I make mine!!
I hate being sent to 3+ pages to get a recipe. Just forget it!!!
Have done this several times and it’s the best ever!
Thx for sharing
Helen made this a couple of weeks ago. The only addition was meat tenderizer. She cooked it at the low setting. WOW ! ! ! The meat just melted in my mouth! We will have this recipe again for sure.
Sounds good
I have made this two or three times and everyone liked it. It’s a keeper!
Thanks for sharing
I could not agree more. In fact, I stopped reading it as soon as I got to gravy mix packet. It takes practically no time to make gravy from scratch, and the taste is so much better than packaged mix, where all you taste is pasty salt.
This is so good!
you’re , you are….your veggies.. ?? Where is the wrong word used? Must have missed it.
Would be nice if one didn’t have to go thru numerous pages to get the recipe…..
You’re
I usually substitute red wine for the water and add 1/2 c. beef broth made from “Better than Broth” paste. Tastes much better.
You’re! Not your!
Sodium overload.
“If YOU”RE in a hurry”….Wonder if there are grammar/spelling mistakes in YOUR recipes.

all chemical. make your own spice mixes.
Anytime someone tells you to cook something with a package of gravy mix or salad mix or any kind of mix, it will taste like it was made with a mix. Which is tantamount to saying it will not taste like grandma used to make.
I agree…way too salty…we threw it out too
if YOUR in a hurry? Really????
I honestly think “Mary Hunt” took a piece of red meat, which isn’t that good for you anyway, and messed it up with salt. This sounds like high blood pressure in the making for sure.
Red meat isn’t that good for you to start with.. And then add all this salt.. I wouldn’t even attempt to try this.
I got this recipe several yrs ago from FB & it is one of the best recipes.
I made crock pot stew today.
a slow cooker idea, Apolonia Acosta.
THREE packages of mixes that contain mostly salt!?!?!? Dear heaven! How unhealthy can you get? Nyuh-uh.
I have heard that several people have thrown the roast away after they make it because the salt is overwhelming. Nothing worse than over salty food.
Just like every other Crotch Pot recipe. You end up with boiled meat. Zzzzzzzzz.
The salt content by using all that dry packaged stuff is unbelievable…and check to see what else they contain…There are so many good roast toppings etc that are natural
I’m sure that now that you have pointed out the error of her ways, she will correct her useage of “your” and “you’re”.
Have this in crockpot right now!

Jordan Curtis you can add potatoes or whatever you want to go with it
if YOU’RE in a hurry

If your (sic) not in too much of a hurry, try spelling you’re correctly.
really who cares what people have to say who think they are perfect
“you’re”
IT WOULD TASTE BETTER IF YOU ADDED CHICKEN SOUP IN WITH THE MEAT!
Are you a word usage corrector for face book???? I’m just asking.
Cuz – are you “back”? Missed you . . . .
What’s with the toilet emoji in the description??

While this does sound good, it sounds like it has a ton of sodium.
Love your recipes but don’t like that I have to ‘go to the next page’- mighty irritating
