Easter is here! And Easter would not be complete without an Easter egg hunt, people! Yes, the children are all ready to get to those eggs and see what’s inside. Be it chocolate, candy, a toy, or heaven forbid an actual egg. But before that, the eggs actually have to be made and decorated with a wonderful array of colors. How do we get those colors, you may ask? Using egg dyes, off course.

Now I know that there are a lot of recipes out there, a few may have even been passed down from generation to generation, but for those who don’t have those treasured recipes, we have scoured the internet and give you the best five. Now, creating your own dyes is a safer way to make sure that they won’t affect your children in any way and it’s more enjoyable. You could also make natural dyes from boiling common ingredients with a tablespoon of vinegar.

At the end of the day one kid is going to eat an actual egg… Don't let them put chemicals into their little mouths!
