This Idea Challenges Everything We Were Taught About Making Boiled Eggs!
We've always been big fans of hard boiled eggs. They're great for making egg salad but we also like them for a quick snack every time our stomachs start rumbling. Plus, they're as healthy as they are delicious. We like to make up a nice big batch of hard boiled eggs, and then keep them in the fridge so we can simply grab one or two whenever we really need something quick.
However, as great as hard boiled eggs are, there's one thing about them we don't like, and that's the mess. Every time we want to make hard boiled eggs, we have to get out a pot, fill it with water, and then watch it closely so that the eggs cook enough but not too much.
Wouldn't it be great if hard boiled eggs were as quick and easy to make as they are to eat? Well, it turns out they can be! We recently discovered this easy and mess-free method for making hard boiled eggs in the oven, and we can't believe what a game-changer it is!

I can make them faster in my egg cooker.
in the directions ,…it says microwave and than it says set oven to 325 degrees??????????????????
I do mine in microwave easy .
This is great! Nice to always have on hand !!
Ha! With my luck, they would explode all over my oven. I steam mine for 15 min., then in ice water for 20 min. Perfect eggs, peel like a dream
Good idea
Recipe states in microwave. Should be oven. But I’m curios to know if eggs won’t explode or burn just setting in a dry muffin pan.
This may sound great, but with an induction cooktop, water boils almost instantly! Heating up the oven cannot be more efficient than boiling water.
Waste of time and energy. Quicker on the stovetop.
Boiling I use less electricity .turn the oven will heat the the kitchen
Please!!!!!!!
This is stupid. Instead of using one pan, you are using a muffin tin AND a bowl of ice water. Instead of 10 – 15 minutes on the stove top, you have to heat up your oven, which can take 10 minutes or more, then bake for 20- 30 minutes. This uses more electricity or gas and more utensils. Why do these cooking sites keep trying to reinvent the wheel?
I’ve tried this – I’ll stick with boiling, thanks. It didn’t change the taste any, but boiled eggs come out prettier. The baked ones were a little brown on the side that was touching the muffin tin.
I’ll stick to the “old fashioned way”.
