Forget The Tortilla Chips: We Just Made Nacho’s With Some Crispy Tater Tot’s & The Flavor Was Unbelievable

These tater tot nachos make six to eight servings but you can always double the ingredients if you want more. They take about twenty minutes to prepare and another five to ten minutes to cook. They will make your mouth water before you even try them!

Let's Get Started!

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 pounds frozen tater tots
  • 4  chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup monterey jack cheese
  •  honey mustard sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1 avocado
  • Sour cream
  • 2 scallions

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

1. Place tater tots on  baking sheet,  bake at 450˚F  for 20 minutes.
2. Toss chicken thighs with  mustard, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon olive oil.
3. In skillet, cook on high heat  four minutes each side. Set chicken aside,  cook onions until caramelized. Remove onions,  set aside.

The Additional Directions To Follow:

Cut your chicken so it is in bite-size pieces. Clean the skillet of fat and place your tater tots in an even layer. Place your chicken over the top. Mix the honey mustard sauce ingredients well. Drizzle sauce over your chicken and your tots. Add onions, and all the cheese. Allow to broil for about ten minutes or until the cheese melts. Add your toppings.
