As a child, I was always told that if you put something hot into something cold or visa versa then the glass will break. So needless to say I was slightly paranoid when it came time to put food away that was still really hot.
I hate to say it but many a dinner leftovers got left out because I forgot they were “cooling” on the countertop.
So is it really safe to put hot foods into a cold fridge? I finally decided to research it (now that im older and have kids of my own) and wanted to share my findings with you. so I have compiled the information for you on the next page. Read it over and let us know what you think.
