Bacon. You’ve read it and you know it: There is no such thing as too much bacon.

However, what we are talking about here is bacon fat, which is what drains from our delicious bacon when we cook it. Not a bad system when you think of it. You cook the bacon and eat it then you have its flavor and richness available for cooking another meal!

However, there is a method to gathering the bacon grease and storing it. For one thing, you have to be patient, which is good for both your bacon and its fat. Slow cooking in a heavy skillet renders out all of the grease and crisps your bacon to perfection without burning it. So remember, cook with a medium heat instead of high heat for the best results.
