If You Like Orange Chicken But Want Something Different Then You’ll Like This Baked Honey BBQ Version

This wonderful baked barbecued popcorn chicken makes for eight servings as a snack and four servings as a meal. You can always double the ingredients to make more. You can save time by making the chicken a day ahead of time if you want.

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 pounds  chicken breasts
  • 1 cup e flour
  • 5 cups corn flakes cereal
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2  eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 3/4 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup  honey
  • 1/4 cup  ketchup

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F . Line  baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place  bite-sized pieces of chicken in  bowl. Add flour, stir to coat each piece.
  3. Place corn flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika into a food processor.
  4. Pulse 4-5 times until  mixture is in fine crumbles. . Pour into bowl Whisk  eggs,  milk.
  5. Dip each piece of chicken in  egg mixture,  roll in cornflake mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Place onto  baking sheet. Repeat with all chicken bites.
  7. Bake  18 minutes, flipping once at the 9-10 minute mark.
  8. Remove from the oven,  allow to cool  5 minutes.
  9. Heat sauce ingredients over medium heat, 6-7 minutes, whisking occasionally.
  10. Place chicken bites into  bowl. Pour  warm honey BBQ sauce on top and gently stir to coat.
