It’s Hard To Resist A Thick, Moist Slice Of Tres Leches Cake… Especially When It’s Homemade

Whether you're showing up to a celebration or hosting a holiday party, you should greet everyone with this cake in hand. This super moist cake offers the perfect balance of sweetness, flavored with a touch of vanilla.

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1 cup whole milk or evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 container Betty Crocker™ Whipped fluffy white frosting

How To Prepare:

  1. Start out making this recipe by prepping the stove and your bake pan. Heat the oven up to about 350 degrees and coat your non stick pan with method of your choice, either grease and flour, or cooking spray.
  2. If you have a mixer that will really come in handy during this part of the recipe. You'll want to combine cake mix, oil, water, vanilla, and eggs. Beat together on low for about thirty seconds and then finish off on medium for two minutes.
  3. Scrape mixture in prepped baking pan and bake according to directions on cake mix box, and then let rest.
  4. Now it's time to take this yellow cake to the next level by making the topping! Combine your tres leches and pour over cake. Place the cake in the fridge and let the tres leches do its magic.
  5. Once you're ready to enjoy, top the cake with fluffy white frosting. Enjoy!

Note: Serve this delicious cake for special occasions, or make your regular meal time into a celebration by adding this to the end of the menu. Serve with coffee or milk.
