Pumpkin Almond Coffee Cake

Pumpkin Almond Coffee Cake

I adore all things pumpkin! I absolutely hate waiting all year for something delicious, full of nutmeg and spice to only come out during September – December. I want pumpkin all the time!

One of my favorite recipes is this Pumpkin Almond Coffee Cake. There is a layer of sweet, thick cream cheese frosting in the middle of each slice and on top there is a caramelized crumbled crust that is topped off with some delicious almonds.

Instead of being super-sweet like most holiday cakes are this one is more on the nuttier-spicier side and really tastes great with your coffee or tea in the morning.

You can either serve this à la mode or with a dollup or two of whipped cream.

Whatever way you want to enjoy this little cake, which can be – and should be – served year round it will turn out fantastic!
