Martha Stewart Recipe: You Only Need Three Ingredients For These Lemon Bars- They’re So Good You Might Want To Hide The Recipe!

You can either dust the tops of these Lemon Bars with Confectioners Sugar or you can get a little adventurous and lightly sprinkle some coconut shavings on top (for some added sweetness).

All you need to do after you mix these ingredients together is to pour it in the crust. As a matter of fact; we think that you are going to be making this recipe a second or third time after you read how it's made. This might change your cooking ways forever.

Whatever You Top Them With They Will Taste Delicious!

Here Are The Rest Of The Ingredients To Gather & How To Put Everything Together:

The Other Three Ingredients To Gather:

(For The Crust)

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

The Full Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Make crust: Using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy. Add flour, and mix on low just until combined.
  3. Press dough into the bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of prepared pan; prick all over with a fork.
  4. Bake until lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Make filling: In a large bowl, whisk together yolks, condensed milk, and lemon juice until smooth.
  6. Pour over hot crust in pan; return to oven, and bake until filling is set, 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Refrigerate until filling is firm.

~*~ Baking Tip ~*~

Cut them into squares when they are firmed up. You can cut large squares or smaller ones.

Finished!

This recipe makes 16 servings, so there should be enough to go around, but we still recommend stashing one or two extras for yourself! We like this recipe because it makes a great dessert, but if you feel like being fancy you could also have it as a snack with a cup of hot tea.

Happy Baking & Enjoy!

Very annoying site- multiple steps, each one ad filled just to obtain the full recipe. Looks like key lime pie with lemons, and not 3 ingredients. Use a pre made cookie or graham cracker pie crust and you can claim 4 ingredients.

Also, salt is mentioned in the steps for the crust, but not listed as an ingredient. So how much to use? 1/2 tsp or maybe 1 tsp? I will look at the link on the comment below.

The recipe says to beat butter, pwd. sugar, salt and flour. Doesn’t show that you need salt in the recipe though.
