Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth The Right Way: These Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Baked Apple Crisps Are Perfect!

This Apple Chips recipe makes enough for one to two servings but you can always double it to make more. It also only has three simple ingredients. You can make these chips by leaving the apple cored or uncored. It is important to know however that if you leave the core in, apple seeds can be poisonous if you eat a large amount of them.

Let's Get Started!

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 apples
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar

Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F.
  2. Stir together the cinnamon and sugar to combine. Set aside.
  3. Decide whether or not to core your apples, then slice them thinly with a mandolin slicer. Line two sheet pans with parchment paper, and place the apple slices side by side on the parchment, in a single layer. Make sure not to overlap the apple slices or place them on top of each other, otherwise they won’t crisp up. Sprinkle the apple slices with the cinnamon sugar, and note that if you sprinkle from high above, the cinnamon sugar will disperse more evenly.
  4. Bake the apple slices for 1 hour, then remove them from the oven and flip them over. The apples will be floppy, but they will crisp up later.
  5. Return the apple slices to the oven for another hour. Let the apple chips cool completely in the oven, this is when they will crisp up.

Finished!

These apple chips are so good, you may forget that they are a healthy snack. Have you tried this recipe yet? If so, did you use cored or un-cored apple slices?
