Growing up in a coastal town I learned at an early age to enjoy seafood. I am not talking about the frozen fish patties you get in the freezer section of your local grocer but the fresh from the fish market seafood that we would have at least once a week.
There is something about the flavor that is reminiscent of summertime walks on the beach and seafood boils by the ocean.
When I was stumbled across this recipe I knew I simply had to make it. Seared tuna is one of those dishes that when done correctly is absolutely amazing. This dish had my attention from the first bite. The flavors simply pop against the backdrop of fresh lettuce greens and wasabi dressing and it is a cool reminder that while we are nearing the end of July summer is far from over!
