Most people I know love Ketchup. In fact, it is one of America's favorite condiments. We add it to our french fries, enjoy it with our hot dogs, our juicy burgers, our comforting classic meatloaf, and any other dish we can think of. Ketchup has gained so much popularity since hitting store shelves that it's created its own avid following. People will argue over which brand is best to the proper technique to use when getting it out of glass bottles.
While people either love or hate this condiment there is some information that may just change everything.
For example, did you know that one tablespoon of ketchup has a whopping 3.7 grams of sugar so by the time you're done with that boat of fries, you've had enough sugar for a few cookies!
Yet that is not the only reason experts are saying we should cut back. Let's keep reading and find out why they're saying we should find a replacement an soon!
Dump the ketchup
I’m from Chicago and consider possession of ketchup a felony.
Thanks ! big salad fan here
Food police should take a rest. In the scheme of things with thousands homes burning, hundreds of families grieving over loved ones being shot by a lunatic, thousands in hurricane-ridden countries with no water/power/food, that one dime is devoted to ketchup or big gulps makes me wonder.
Right on E.G. And what about new recipes that say cut two potatoes 2 chicken breast and it’s for 4-6 people!
I only use ketchup on grilled cheese or toasted westerns . Wouldn’t put mustard on either unless I wanted to puke .
Too much salt.
