I like keeping the recipe’s on f/b but when I read that it’s by Recipe Station I avoid it because they have you go to the next page then another page and maybe ANOTHER page. WHAT??? why not put it on ONE PAGE?

Okay – we ate this for supper today — my husband says it was the best “beef” meal so far — and the gravy was the bomb! I have to say it was full of flavor too!

This is how my cook book will be laid out, tomato, carrots, onions, celery, beef roast, cut up, put in crock pot, cut up the Roast, put in crock pot, season, hi for 2 hours, med for 4 hours, should look a lot like this when you’re done

I cut up the veggies as it says but cooked them in a separate pan as the oil called for wasn’t enough for 2 lbs of sirloin and the veggies. I used Marsalla wine (it’s what I had) and “deglazed the meat pan with a little extra, the rest went into the 1/2 c. called for. As it cooked down, I thought there wasn’t enough liquid to make it the full hour and a half, so I added 1/2 Beef Consumme (Sp?). At the end, I did take 1 tablespoon of butter and smashed two tablespoons of flour into it and then like a roux $#%&!@*backwards), stirred it into the meat and broth to thicken it slightly. Also, I like to add a dash of sea salt to the mushrooms when they were being saute as it pulls out some juice and extra flavor. Then I added them also near the very end. I already had garlic mashed potatoes on hand, so I didn’t make that part. My husband loved it and so did I. We ate the leftovers tonight.
