Texas-Style, Organic Peach Cobbler

Texas-Style, Organic Peach Cobbler

I loved living in Austin, Texas. The city was big, beautiful and though industrial it still had that country ‘twang.' I remember many times sitting on the porch with my girlfriends, tanning in the hot summer sun, drinking a glass of homemade Sun Tea and eating some Peach Cobbler with ice cream on top.

This dish is easy to make and almost fool-proof. The ingredients listed here are all organic and fresh.

Ingredients:
1 cup of Salted Land O' Lakes Butter
1 ½ cup of Organic Sugar
1 ¼ cup of Organic Milk
1 Cup of Self-Raising, Organic Flour
1 Tbs. Of Organic Cinnamon
17 Whole, Organic, Ripe Peaches. (Make sure that they are ripe and not hard).

Directions:
1. In a bowl mix, flour, sugar, cinnamon and milk. Mix ingredients until smooth and no lumps.
2. Take an additional 1 Tbs of Cinnamon and 1 Tbs of Sugar, mix and set aside. You can also try and use Organic Coconut Sugar if you want.
3. Put butter or margarine in a 13 x 9 baking dish or pan in a 350°F oven until melted when melted take pan out of oven and pour batter over melted butter or margarine, DO NOT STIR.
4. Cut your peaches into slices and in a large skillet melt 1 Tbs. Of unsalted, organic butter and fry them just enough to get them nice and hot. If they are a little browned then that is okay too.
5. Take the skillet off the fire and pour peaches over batter, DO NOT STIR.
6. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top of peaches, DO NOT STIR.
7. Put in a 350°F oven and bake for 30 minutes to one hour or until golden brown.

The beauty of this dish is the crust! Its warm and flaky taste melts in your mouth. Peach Cobbler is extremely hard to mess up and its an introductory dish to the world of baking.
