The Best Chocolate Dessert Recipes

Even though I would drink melted chocolate from a glass, I think it’s flavor is at its best when paired with something a little salty.

Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart

This sophisticated tart is beyond decadent! An almond chocolate pastry made with cocoa powder and my favorite dessert ingredient, butter! Filled with homemade caramel and chocolate ganache. I know that sounds fancy but ganache is just bittersweet chocolate mixed with heavy cream. Yum. This layered chilled tart topped with sea salt is perfect for the final course of your next romantic dinner at home or your next dinner party.

Chocolate Poke Cake

If the tart is a little too high brow for your taste then this next recipe is for you. A rich homemade chocolate pudding poured over a fresh baked chocolate cake with holes poked in it. The cake is then set in the refrigerator over night so the pudding can seep into every nook and cranny, then it’s frosted with, you guessed it, chocolate frosting made from scratch! That is chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Frozen Banana Bites

Sometimes you just need a quick hit of chocolate and you don’t have the time to make a tart or a better than you know what cake. This recipe for chocolate covered frozen banana slices is the recipe I turn to almost every week. You can find a plastic container of these in my freezer at all times! This recipe calls for vegan chocolate chips but I use whatever chips I have in the cabinet, though dark chocolate are my favorite!

As I mentioned before, brownies are at the very top of my chocolate dessert list. I didn’t think there was any way to make brownies more delicious until I tried these next two recipes!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownies

Imagine a rich gooey brownie, now imagine that brownie smothered in caramel sauce made with heavy whipping cream and chunks of sea salt. The result is a sweet and salty brownie that will have you and your family fighting over the carton of milk!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies

The only thing I love as much as brownies is chocolate chip cookie dough! By cooking the brownies first and letting them cool before layering on the made from scratch cookie dough (minus the raw egg) you get the real deal flavor and texture of raw dough mixed with the great deep chocolate flavor of the brownie. This recipe takes my two favorite things and mashes them together for the perfect dessert!
