The Best Apple Sage Pork Chops Ever

The Best Apple Sage Pork Chops Ever

It all starts with that growl in your tummy that tells you it's time to think outside the box and create something new and delicious that will leave that grumpy stomach in a state of ecstasy. Here is everything you will need to satisfy your hunger…

Ingredients To Gather:

Serves: Makes 6 servings.

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 teaspoons McCormick® Sage, Rubbed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Lawry's® Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Nutmeg, Ground
  • 6 boneless pork chops, 3/4- to 1-inch thick (about 2 pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 Gala apples, cut into thin wedges
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple juice

The Directions To Follow:

  1. First, you are going to want to blend flour, sage, seasoned salt, thyme, and nutmeg in a bowl until they are well mixed. Next, season the pork chops with approximately 1 tablespoon of the bowl's contents.
  2. Once this is completed heat up oil in a skillet over medium to high heat and add the pork chops. Cook until they are brown on both sides then take them off the skillet. Next, you're going to want to add apples, onion, apple juice and the rest of the flour mixture to the skillet and stir until well blended. Now, you're going to want to return the pork chops to the skillet.
  3. Bring all the ingredients to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Keep the skillet covered for about 5 minutes then remove the pork chops to serve. You can also simmer the sauce for 5 more minutes and drizzle over finished pork chops. Now you're ready to enjoy!
