Americans love cheese! We put it in and on everything, from burgers to casseroles even on apple pie. Is there anything better than a homemade apple pie covered in thick slices of sharp cheddar cheese and baked?
The salty and gooiness of the cheese is the ideal balance to the sweet cinnamon taste of baked apples.
So when I saw this extensive list of America’s favorite dishes categorized by state, it was no surprise that it was comprised of dishes all made with cheese!
Some are the obvious best American choices such as: pizza smothered in melted mozzarella cheese, a green chili burger coated in thick layer of jalapeno jack, macaroni baked in a simmering pot of American cheese, but some of the items on the list were new.
Even to me, a person who spends many evenings watching travel food shows, my mouth was watering.
There’s nothing I like more than seeing what people across this great country are eating!
