What is it about egg salad that we love so much? Does it stem from some fond childhood memory or is it simply the creamy texture and subtle flavors that get us?
This year we have had a few versions of this delicate creation yet none of them compare to this one. It is by far our favorite! While egg salad may seem like such a simple dish, it's the simplicity that makes it so special. Remember when you were small, spending time with a beloved Grandmother, Grandma, Granny or Nana? Remember the fond memories you shared with her? Do you also have a special time during your years of growing up that you cherish and remember that special food that only she could make just right and just for you?
When I was a young girl as far back as I can remember. I could always look forward to my Granny’s Old Fashion Egg Salad Sandwiches. I would be visiting her for the weekend and we would have so much fun cooking, baking and creating fun foods. She would smile that special smile and ask me if I wanted my favorite sandwich for lunch? Of course, I jumped up and down delighted to say yes!
