The Best Way To Serve Pork Chops Is Smothered & Covered With A Delicious Pepper Gravy

Whenever I make this recipe I always whip up a batch of homemade, mashed potatoes so I can use the gravy on top of that. This Pork Chop recipe with gravy would also go well with some Green Beans or Roasted Veggies. The sauce has enough seasoning that you really do not need to add anything else.

Let's Get Started…

What You'll Need:

  • 1-1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 8 Bone-in Pork Chops
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 7 Tbs Butter
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tbs Cream

Step By Step Directions:

  1. Dredge pork chops in flour and seasoning. Heat oil and 4 Tbs butter. Fry pork chops. Remove.
  2. Add onions and peppers, cook about 10 minutes. Remove.
  3. Add 3 Tbs butter and flour. Whisk until roux turns into dark golden paste. Whisk in stock, add cream.
  4. Add the onions and peppers.

Serve!

Instead of putting the pork chops back in the pan, take a big spoon to scoop up that spicy gravy goodness and pour it on top of your crispy fried pork chop.  You get the best of both worlds, a rich complex gravy and crisp and tender chop.
