A lot of people always associate cheesecake with having strawberries, blueberries or chocolate smeared on top but what they are missing out on is Limoncello. This stuff is good on anything and an authentic Italian staple.
The cake sort of tastes like a lemon meringue but its smooth creamy and perfect with each and every bite.
Unlike regular cheesecakes, this one is tart smooth and creamy. The Limoncello Cheesecake will not give you that sugar rush like the other ones too.
Once I found out how to make this Limoncello Cheesecake I never went back to making regular ones again… it's divine & perfect for anyone to try.
This is a great chilled cheesecake and while it’s not low fat or no bake it is delicious and incredibly easy.

Do you put the limoncello/sugar mixture, that you heated up in a pan, directly on to the cake while it is still warm or let it cool a little first? Seems like if you put it on warm you might end up with a goopy mess. lol
Where do you find Limoncello in the grocery store – the recipe calls for this and I thought it was a completed dish, not an ingredient.
Limoncello can be purchased at a liquor store like Bev Mo. It is an Italian liquor usually for an after dinner drink.

It is a mild liquor from lemons. It is a great dessert drink, over ice or straight up.

The first time I tried Lemoncello was in Italy. Loved it as a drink, now, I can buy a bottle and make a great cheesecake with it. Wonder what I will do with the rest of the bottle? Oh, well……
