We love spaghetti; in fact, we make it once or twice a week! We take great care with how we prepare the pasta, because both under-cooking and overcooking it can completely ruin the dish. However, cooking the noodles is only one part of the equation; equally important is the quality of the sauce. We've never been happy with plain old tomato spaghetti sauce; instead, we like ours jam-packed with ingredients, which is why we adore this spaghetti sauce recipe.

This spaghetti sauce is absolutely loaded with goodies, including ground beef, diced tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, garlic, basil leaves, oregano leaves, crushed red pepper flakes, as well as plenty of delicious seasoning. Plus, cooking it in the slow cooker for so long creates a thick, savory sauce that's packed with flavor.

We like to make up a nice big batch and then freeze the extra (it lasts up to 4 months in the freezer!). It also keeps up to four days in the refrigerator, making it easy to throw together a quick dinner on another night.
