The Molten Chocolate Lava Cake Has Vanilla Beans, A Gooey-Center & A Creamy, Rich Frosting!

Ready to get your hands sweetened up? Bake away this incredibly mouth-watering recipe!

Ingredients To Gather: 

  • 3/4-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • powdered sugar

Directions To Follow: 

  1. Grease four, 6 oz. ramekins and preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In a heat-safe, glass bowl, double boil your chocolate chips over a medium saucepan, filled 1-2-inches with water, over medium heat. Add butter and stir until smooth.
  3. Take off heat and whisk in sugar, vanilla extract and instant coffee until smooth.
  4. Pour in beaten eggs.
  5. Mix in flour and salt.
  6. Place ramekins on baking sheet and pour batter about 3/4.
  7. Place in oven and bake for 10-12 minutes
  8. Remove from oven
  9. Place plate on top of ramekin and turn over to invert cake.

 

A simple note to make your batter moister is by adding the eggs one at a time, making sure that each of them are blended well into the mixture.

To decorate your dish into perfection is adding a topping on top or around the cake. Few recommendations include whipped cream, ice cream, fruity berries, or powdered sugar.
