The Ritz Chicken Casserole Everyone Has Been Waiting For

The Ritz Chicken Casserole Everyone Has Been Waiting For

There are a couple of ways that you can do this depending on the length of time and patience you have. I have done this both ways and each time it has turned out wonderfully. The first method is to bake your own whole chicken and season yourself. This, of course, gives you the most freedom when it comes to taste and texture. The other is to purchase a rotisserie chicken from the store. This, of course, gives you the most freedom of time. So again, it's really all in what you prefer.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, Italian seasoning, sour cream, and green onion, then add in the chicken, mixing until well-incorporated. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  3. Combine the crushed crackers with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
  4. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Let stand 5 minutes, then serve. Enjoy!
Have you tried this dish before? If so how did it turn out? Are there any tips or tricks that you have used that worked well? If so let us know in the comments below.
