The Top Desserts For Vegans

The Top Desserts For Vegans

1. Cheesecakes

The first recipe I found were for cheesecakes. Choose is probably the #1 reason I won't go all the way vegan, but with this recipe in my possession, that may change very soon. This only has 7 ingredients! The crust is just dates and walnuts. The filling is Soaked cashews, coconut milk, coconut oil, lemon juice and agave nectar. The best part about this is that the basic recipe makes an excellent base, which is delicious on it's own. From there, you can add your favorite flavors, such as peanut butter, cocoa, berries or caramel!

2. Chocolate Chip Cookies

By far, my most favorite dessert of all are chocolate chip cookies. I look forward to the huge batches my mom makes each Christmas! Unfortunately, I can not make them myself because they will never end up in the oven. I will eat all of the dough in one sitting if I can help it. I love the dough so much, that the baked cookies at the end are more of an after-thought. Imagine my delight when I found a vegan recipe, which means I can eat the dough! I can eat as much as I want without fear of salmonella.

Enjoy your cookie dough!

This amazing recipe comes from Ovenly, one of the best bakeries in New York! The recipe was posted on Vogue, and has become very popular!

3. Chocolate Cake

The only cake I will eat on my birthday is chocolate cake, preferably in the form of cupcakes! This vegan chocolate cake is designed to use ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. My favorite tip, was to dust the baking dish with cocoa instead of flour when greasing it! What an absolutely brilliant trick, I almost cried. It makes the cake more chocolatey and also prevents the cake from having white flour on it once you scoop it out of the dish. Joy sums up the appeal of this cake perfectly when she says: “It’s always super comforting when we can turn what’s in our pantry into a warm, moist, flavorful chocolate treat without softening butter, cracking eggs, or running to the store.”

4. Raw Brownie

We've covered cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate cake, so what is left? Brownies of course! By now you have realized you can go vegan part-way, and still indulge in delicious food. Now you can take it the next level, and eat a raw vegan dessert – The Raw Brownie. With all natural ingredients in their natural state, this rich and satisfying treat only contains 5 items. For best results, use a food processor. If you don't have one, try your blender, it could work, especially if you have a good one! I'll admit that when I make these I really end up just making some kind of weird chunky brownie smoothie in my old, ancient blender, but it is just as good, and I am impatient anyway.
