These Chilled Orange Creamsicle Bars Will Remind Everyone Of That Favorite Ice Cream Bar Growing Up!

We can not get enough of these creamy bars, they are absolutely mouthwatering and the perfect treat to hit the spot after a bad day. Come on, everyone wants to revert back to those darker times and have no responsibilities; why not just have an ice cream bar to cheer you up a bit?

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Grated rind from 4-6 oranges
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Imperial Sugar Confectioners Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Crème Chantilly
  • 16 graham crackers

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. In a food processor, add graham crackers, butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Pulse for 1 minute or until cracker crumbs stick together to form pea size crumbs.
  2. Press mixture onto bottom of 13X9” baking pan.
  3. Pack and press it well otherwise it will fall apart.
  4. Place baking pan in freezer while making filling.
  5. In a food processor, add cream cheese, condensed milk and sugar. Pulse a few times until mixture is creamy.
  6. Stir in orange juice, grated rind and orange extract (optional). Pulse 2-3 times until just combined. Stop and set aside.
  7. In a cold mixing bowl add heavy whipping cream. Use whisk attachment to whip cream gently, adding powdered sugar gradually.
  8. Use spatula to gently fold whipped cream into orange mixture. Do not over mix!
  9. Remove crust from freezer and pour filling over crust.
  10. Return to freezer and chill for 3 – 4 hours.

    This looks great. I did notice that butter was not included in the ingredients to use yet it says to mix the graham crackers in a blender with butter. Anyone have an idea on how much butter to use?
