These Fiesta-Inspired Pork Chops Are So Tender That You Don’t Even Need A Knife To Cut Through Them

All the flavors really spice these pork chops up and once you take the first bite you won't be able to stop eating them and we won't blame you!

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 4 pork chops
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp. ghee, plus 1/2 Tbsp. ghee
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 tsp. arrowroot powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 can mild green chiles
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves (optional)
  • avocado (for garnish)
  • scallions (for garnish)

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Sprinkle pork chops with salt, pepper. Heat 1/2 tablespoon ghee over medium-high heat, 3 minutes.
  2. Add pork chops to pan with a little wiggle room around them, cook on one side, undisturbed, for 4-5 minutes. Flip pork over, brown other side, 4–5 minutes.
  3. Remove pork from pan, reduce heat to medium, add onion, arrowroot to pan. Sauté until soft and golden, 5–7 minutes. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano. Cook , about 30 seconds. Add chicken broth, lime juice, green chiles.
  4. Bring to a boil, simmer, allow to thicken a bit, about 3 minutes. Add 1/2 tablespoon ghee to pan, combine, place pork chops back into pan to reheat,coat them in sauce.
  5. Once done, remove from heat, sprinkle with cilantro. Serve with avocado, scallions.
