We are bombarded with tech, gadgets. Society needs to get back to it roots.
Yes, we’ve made great strides in medicine, communications, etc…but we’ve lost our family values…and value “things”, “stuff”.

I like my kitchen gadgets. I don’t care what any one thinks.

I have basics. George Foreman grill, griddle, food processor and slow cooker. Have no more space.

They show a rice cooker, but it’s not mentioned in the article! Just a micro plane, electric milk frothed, salad spinner, and a juicer!

My salad spinner is great- I wouldn’t go without it and they are inexpensive.

I strongly disagree about the salad spinner and the microplane zester.

My mom taught Wilton cake decorating/baking classes in the 60s/70s. She had my dad MAKE her a lemon zester out of a 6″ piece of a fine rasp. It was the BEST kitchen gadget she owned. At that time, the only way you could zest or finely grate something was on the small holes of a box grater, which ALWAYS clogged up. The microplane only works in one direction and NEVER clogs.

TUPPERWARE invented the original salad spinner/storage container in the mid 80s, and it has been in the “top 20” products every year since. I have one and LOVE it!

I would never have a department srore knock-off, simply because of TUPPERWARE’S REPUTATION AND LIFETIME WARRANTY.

A cook would not give up a microplane, or a salad spinner

I use a micro-planer almost daily. And nothing better than an electric milk frother. Warm milk in my coffee every morning!
