To visit one fast food restaurant in a chain is basically to have visited them all. After all, that's one of the hallmarks of a chain restaurant, is that they have basically the same menu at every location as well as the same decor and ambiance. It's kind of reassuring, actually, especially when visiting out of town or traveling. No need to ask for the best restaurant in town; just head for the nearest location of a favorite fast food chain and have no surprises about the food or the atmosphere!
Well, it turns out that's only partly true, because there are some very unusual fast food restaurants in various parts of the world, and they look nothing like what we've come to expect here in the states. This is certainly true of McDonald's, which is perhaps the best-known and most popular fast food chain throughout the world.
