The Ingredients To Gather: 

  • 1 lb pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flower
  • 1/2 cup hibiscus flower tea
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 2 chipotle peppers

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Mix ground hibiscus with salt, pepper, cumin, garlic.
  2. Rub meat with olive oil,add sazón until filet is covered.
  3. Store meat in sealed plastic container, refrigerate 15-20 minutes.
  4. Barbeque sauce: combine tea, ketchup, sugar, vinegar, chipotle pepper purée , cook 10-15 minutes, until sauce thickens.
  5. Turn on grill, heat to 400°F. Cook pork over flame five minutes on each side. Move meat to area with less heat until it's finished cooking.
