This Bourbon-Bacon Inspired Cheesecake With A Crumbled Crust Is How Desserts Need To Be Made!

Here's everything you need for this decadent bourbon bacon crunch cake. You need 4 hours total time for this recipe that makes nine servings.

Let's Get Started…

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 (12 bar) box Nature Valley™ crunchy granola bars
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 (8 oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) container extra creamy whipped topping
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon

Directions To Follow:

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and then lining a baking sheet with either parchment paper or nonstick tin foil. Place the strips of bacon on the sheet, and then apply the bourbon to the bacon using a pastry brush. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the slices and then bake for between 25 and 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and cooked evenly. Take the bacon off the baking sheet, place on a paper towel, and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. Now you'll make the crust. To do this, take the granola bars and crush them into very small pieces and combine with butter and sugar. Take half of these crumbs and pour them into the bottom of an 8×8-inch pan. Butter the pan or line it with nonstick tin foil first. Set the rest of the crumbs aside to put on top of the filling.
  3. Now make the filling and assemble the cake. To do this, cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, whipped topping, almond extract and rum, beating it to combine, and then add two-thirds of the chopped bacon. Spread this mixture over the crust and then sprinkle the rest of the crumbs and bacon on top of the cake. Cover the cake and freeze it for at least 3 hours, and then cut into nine squares before serving.

Finished Now Serve!

It just goes to show that bacon really is a delicious all-purpose food that's as delicious in sweet treats as it is for breakfast.

strange, it says bourbon, but in directions, it says rum and almond extract, which isn;t listed either and doesn’t say how much
