This Braised Beef Bowl Couldn’t Get Any Easier To Make & What We Added Gives It An Extra Kick!

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3-4 pound boneless top round
  • Onions, thinly sliced
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 3 cup black rice
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 fresh bunch of watercress

Directions To Follow:

  1. When the beef is very tender and falling apart, remove it from the pot and transfer it to a baking dish.
  2. In the jar of a blender combine the garlic, brown sugar, tamari and 1 cup of the broth that the beef is cooking in.
  3. At the 3 hour mark with the beef, make the rice.
  4. Pile forbidden rice and top with a handful of fresh watercress and then scoop the braised beef on top. Enjoy hot.
