Don't even think about trying to cut corners and make this from a can. Well, you could do that of course, but we guarantee it is going to taste like crap. Make it fresh and 100 percent authentic like we have; you will truly be proud of the results.
Let's Get Started…
The Ingredients To Gather:
-
1lb ground beef, cooked and drained of fat
-
15oz petite diced tomatoes, drained
-
1C onion, chopped
-
1/4C celery, chopped
-
1/2C carrot, chopped
-
1/2C green bell pepper, chopped
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
4C potatoes, cubed
-
1/2 tsp chili powder
-
2 1/2 tsp salt
-
1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
-
4C chicken broth
-
8oz block cheddar cheese, shredded
-
1C heavy cream
-
3 Tbsp flour
Directions To Follow:
You'll need a slow cooker that holds 5 or 6 quarts for this recipe. Begin by adding the beef, vegetables, salt, pepper, chili powder and chicken broth to the slow cooker and then cooking on high for 4 hours. Then, add the shredded cheese. Combine the cream and flour, stir until the mixture is smooth, and then add this to the soup in the slow cooker. Stir to make sure everything is mixed together well, and then cook, covered, for another 30 minutes.
Finished!
We recommend serving this soup with the kind of condiments and extras you'd normally have with a cheeseburger, including pickles, bacon and extra cheese.
Happy Baking & Enjoy!
