Recipe Station

This recipe makes enough for about four servings but you can double the ingredients if you want more to enjoy the next day. You can add some jalapeno peppers or hot salsa on top if you want it be extra spicy or you can leave them off if you prefer more mild Mexican food.

It takes about about twenty-five minutes to prepare and an hour to cook but the delicious smell will be enough to make your mouth water even before you take the first bite!

The Ingredients To Gather:

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 2 pounds ground beef
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1 1/2 cups onion
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 can tomato sauce
• 1 cup olives
• 8 to 10 corn tortillas
• soft butter
• 3 to 4 cups cheese
• sour cream and green onion
• salsa
• jalapeno peppers

The Step by Step Directions To Follow:

1. Sauté onion. Add ground beef. Cook  until beef is not pink. Drain. Add chili powder, ground cumin, salt, garlic. Cook a minute or two,stir in tomato sauce. Stir in olives.

2. Place in bottom of slow cooker with both ends hanging over the top edge of cooker.

3.  Butter one side of the corn tortillas. Spread the tortilla with the meat mixture and a layer of cheese. Cover with another tortilla, add more meat mixture and cheese. Fold foil over the top of the stack, cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
