1 1/2 cups milk or chocolate milk
8 ounces milk chocolate

Chocolate syrup, for drizzling (optional)
Sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Arrange  rack in  middle of oven, heat to 325°F. Coat 12-cup Bundt or tube pan with cooking spray, set aside.

Place  butter, sugar in  bowl of stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.  Beat on medium speed until  butter is fluffy, lighter in color, 4 – 5 minutes, occasionally stopping to scrape down  sides and  bottom of  bowl as needed.

Whisk  flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt into bowl, set aside.

Add  eggs, egg yolks one at a time on medium speed to  butter mixture, beating after each addition until fully incorporated. Reduce  speed to low, add half of  flour mixture, beat until incorporated. Add  milk, vanilla,  melted chocolate, beat on medium speed until incorporated. Stop  mixer, scrape down  sides, bottom of bowl. Add remaining flour mixture, beat on low speed until just incorporated.

Transfer  batter to pan. Level  top of  batter with  rubber spatula.

Bake, 50 – 60 minutes. Let cool in pan  20 minutes. Invert  cooling rack over  cake pan. Holding  wire rack , cake pan bottom together, gently flip pan over onto  rack so that  bottom faces up. Remove  pan, cool completely.

Drizzle chocolate syrup over  top. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
