This Chocolate Cake Has A Shocking Ingredient That Makes It Perfectly Moist & Delicious

This recipe makes enough for one nine inch double layer cake but if you want more, you can just double the ingredients. It only takes a few minutes to prepare and about thirty minutes to bake. It will smell so good, you will want to dig right in!

2 cups  flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
3 eggs
1 2/3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/3 cups water

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Preheat  oven to 350 degrees. Grease ,flour  two 9″ round cake pans. Whisk  flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder,  espresso powder . In bowl or stand mixer, beat  eggs with  sugar, vanilla on high speed until very light, fluffy, at least 3 minutes Reduce  speed to low, add  mayonnaise, beating until well-combined. Add flour mixture, water to  batter in three additions, alternating between wet, dry. Mix until just combined. Don't overmix! Divide  batter  between  two pans, bake 30 minutes.

The Additional Directions To Follow:

Then take your cake out of the oven and allow it to cool for about ten minutes or so in the pan. Then, take your cake out of the pan and allow it to finish cooling on a wire rack. Then fill and add whatever frosting you prefer to your cake. A buttercream frosting is suggested.

    couldn’t find recipe, but it could be several things to make it moist…..mayonnaise, tomato soup, or sauerkraut…ingredients that my mother used her whole life.
