This Delicious Taco Salad Has A Few Special Ingredients Packed Inside That Make It Truly Unique!

This taco salad makes about six to eight servings but if you want plenty left over to enjoy again the next day, you can double the ingredients.

You can add lime wedges, guacamole, sour cream, black beans or anything else you want to this salad.

You can make it creamy with a spicy ranch or thousand island or you can keep it traditional with some taco sauce.

Let's Get Started!

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 package of your favorite taco seasoning
  • 1 to 2 heads of iceberg lettuce or 2 to 3 heads of romaine
  • 4 to 8 green onions
  • 3 c. halved cherry tomatoes or  Roma tomatoes
  • 2 to 3 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 to 3 c.  Doritos nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 c. cilantro
  • sour cream
  • guacamole or avocado
  • 1 lime
  • spicy ranch dressing
  • zesty French dressing
  • mild taco sauce

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Brown beef  over medium to medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion.
  3. Once beef is browned and onion is softened, remove any excess fat from the pan Sprinkle taco seasoning over the mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Add 1/3 cup of water and let mixture simmer over medium-low heat until water is dissolved.
  5. This can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated until ready to serve.
