Chicken Fried Steak is one of those glorious creations that we all know and love. I bet it all started by trying to decide between fried chicken or steak for dinner. And I feel like these people were quite possibly cowboys, with mud stuck to their boots, sitting in a cabin when they were figuring this out. I can't help but think of cowboys and my grandfather when it comes to Chicken Fried Steak. This is a hearty man's meal. And yes, I don't fit this category, but I still enjoy it as well.
The creamy, peppery gravy poured over a crispy, battered steak is the ultimate comfort food in my book. And I'm sure there are quite a few people out there who will tend to agree on this matter.
