This Homemade Chicken Pot Pie With A Flaky Golden Brown Crust & Rich Filling Came Out Perfect

For this amazing chicken pot pie, you can use any combination of frozen vegetables that you prefer. The pie crusts are pre-cut to make it even easier. It only takes thirty minutes to bake but it will smell so good your whole family will be dying to dig right in!

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 pre-cut pie crusts
  • 2 cups water

The Step By Step Directions to Follow:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Place pot over medium-high heat, add water. Add chicken , make sure water covers chicken. Cover pan cook chicken 15 minutes.
3. Remove chicken from heat, cut in small pieces.
4. In separate saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
5. Add flour, stirring until mixture is smooth and thick.
6. Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth.
7. Stir in salt, pepper, vegetables, chicken. Stir to thaw vegetables.
8. Roll one pre-cut pie crust onto pan, evenly.
9. Spoon chicken mixture into pan, filling pan to top.
10. Cut second pie crust into inch-wide strips. Place on top of pie filling, alternating above , below others to create lattice. Pinch edges of both crusts together to keep filling inside.
11. Place pan in oven, bake 30 minutes.
