- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
Directions To Follow:
- Start by mixing the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley and salt and pepper in a small bowl and then dredging each pork chop in this mixture.
- Heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet and use this to saute the chops for between 4 and 5 minutes on each side or until browned.
- Add the chicken broth, sherry and rosemary, and then spread the sliced onion over the chops.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer covered for 10 minutes.
- Finally, flip the chops and let the onion fall into the liquid.
- Put the cover back on and continue to simmer, this time for 5 minutes or until the meat reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit degrees inside.
